Floorsave is a family run national hardwood, engineered wood and laminate flooring company. Each team member has many years of experience in the flooring industry and is always on hand to impart that knowledge whenever needed. We deal mainly with trade customers and have built our ‘expert advice’ and ‘troubleshooting’ guides around that. This means we offer more detailed information to help out a more technical client.

Laminate
There are a wide range of benefits for those purchasing laminate flooring. It is extremely easy to clean and maintain and can be used immediately after installation. Installation of laminate floors is also relatively easy due to the click-lock systems that they employ. This combined with the fact that they are installed using the floating method, over the appropriate underlay, means that no nailing or glueing is required.
This means that a reasonably competent Do-It-Yourself enthusiast should be able to fit it themselves without too much trouble. Installation is possible over any subfloor and in any room where there is not expected to be a consistently high level of humidity. A damp proof membrane (DPM) will be needed on some subfloors such as concrete screeds where there is residual moisture present.
