About the Business
Brian King has been supplying and fitting carpets and floor coverings locally, nationally and internationally for over 20 years. On leaving school, Brian worked for a local contract flooring company in Wigan and attended Salford College of Technology, which saw him gain his City & Guilds in floorlaying. Once qualified, he worked for a carpet and flooring company in Atherton. However, when the company moved to Canada, Brian was left somewhat uncertain of his future. Not content to dwell on the loss of his employment he took the huge step of starting his own business at the tender age of 19 - Brian King Flooring - and he has never looked back.
In 2003 Brian joined the NICF (National Institute of Carpet and Floor Layers) as an approved fitter with the aim of being part of a professional and reputable organisation for the trade. In 2008 he acquired the position of Master Fitter, one of only two in the whole of Greater Manchester.
